ABOUT JOEY
My name is Joseph Licata. I was born and raised in New Jersey in a small town called Blairstown. In April of 2018, I started my journey as a student pilot. I obtained my Private Pilot Certificate in July 2020. In August 2020, I started college at Florida Tech, where I continued flight training. In October of 2021, I obtained my Instrument Rating. In June of 2022, I obtained my Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate. I am currently working on my Commercial Single Engine Add-on in my Junior year at Florida Tech.
Hobbies
SURFING
When I first got to Florida Tech surfing has always been on my to-do list. I began surfing not too long ago after I got settled in here at Florida and needless to say it has been a blast.
FIREFIGHTING
Ever since I could remember, I've always wanted to do some sort of volunteer work to give back to my community. Becoming a firefighter has allowed me to do just that as well as become a first responder as I aspired to be but decided not to pursue a career in.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Mountain biking has always been something I enjoyed doing in my free time. Mountain biking gives me a sense of freedom while being out in the wooded areas.
